If you have significant experience in the health care systems in Canada, are interested in helping support health care decision-makers in making informed choices about health technologies, and are passionate about ensuring that the health care systems in Canada are the best they can be, we encourage you to apply.
We are an independent, not-for-profit organization that provides health care decision-makers in Canada with objective advice to help make informed decisions based on evidence and the appraisal of evidence through scientific methodologies and processes (e.g., health technology assessment) regarding the use of drugs and other health technologies in the health care systems in Canada. We receive funding from federal, provincial, and territorial governments in Canada, with the exception of Quebec. The business efforts of the organization and its committees are conducted in English.
Nominations must be submitted through our online form and received by Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

The Canadian Drug Expert Committee (CDEC) makes reimbursement recommendations for non-oncology pharmaceuticals to the participating federal, provincial, and territorial publicly funded drug plans. It also makes recommendations related to the identification, evaluation, and promotion of optimal drug prescribing and use in Canada.
We are seeking:
- 3 expert members
- 1 patient member
pan-Canadian Oncology Drug Review Expert Review Committee
The pan-Canadian Oncology Drug Review (pCODR) Expert Review Committee (pERC) makes reimbursement recommendations for oncology pharmaceuticals to the participating federal, provincial, and territorial publicly funded drug programs. It also makes recommendations related to the identification, evaluation, and promotion of optimal drug prescribing and use in Canada.
We are seeking:
- 4 expert members
- 1 patient member
Formulary Management Expert Committee
Formulary Management Expert Committee (FMEC) is an interim committee that provides recommendations for the organization’s Nonsponsored Single Drug Reviews, Streamlined Drug Class Reviews, and Therapeutic Reviews as requested by federal, provincial, and territorial governments, drug plans, and cancer agencies.
We are seeking:
- 3 expert members
Health Technology Expert Review Panel
The Health Technology Expert Review Panel (HTERP) develops guidance and/or recommendations on nondrug health technologies to inform a range of partners and collaborators within the health care system in Canada.
We are seeking:
- 1 health care practitioner member
- 1 patient member
Patient and Community Advisory Committee
The Patient and Community Advisory Committee (PCAC) provides advice on how to best ensure the voices of those with lived and living experience accessing health care in 1 of Canada’s health systems are consistently reflected and embedded in our work.
We are seeking:
- 1 chair
- 1 or 2 members
Who Can Submit a Nomination?
Individuals from federal, provincial, and territorial jurisdictions and relevant bodies that represent health and allied health professionals, as well as members of the general public, may submit a nomination. Nominations may be submitted on the candidate’s behalf, or interested candidates may nominate themselves.
