Hamida Bhimani executes leadership development and organizational excellence initiatives in health care. Her work in design and implementation of an emerging leaders program has received Honourable Mention for Excellence from the Association of Talent Development. Hamida also currently co-facilitates a dynamic program for women at the Schulich Executive Education Centre, Schulich School of Business at York University entitled “Leadership for Women: Practical Strategies for Success.”
Hamida has held leadership and project management roles in the academic, research, and government sectors. As the Head of Nursing Practice, York Region, her team executes professional development programs and leads strategic initiatives that drive organizational excellence such as spearheading the Best Practice Spotlight Organization designation achievement. Hamida has a Master of Health Sciences in Health Administration from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McMaster University. She is a Certified Health Executive and holds a Certificate in Coaching from the Centre for Creative Leadership.
Hamida’s most recent board roles include President of the Ontario Association of Public Health Nursing Leaders and Member responsible for the Women’s Portfolio on the Ismaili Council for Canada. She is currently appointed as a Member of ITREB Canada responsible for leading the Strategic Planning and Evaluation Portfolio.
