Canada’s Drug Agency Seeks Nominations for Expert and Advisory Committee Members

Canada’s Drug Agency is seeking knowledgeable and experienced individuals to join our expert and advisory committees.

Our annual call for nominations is now open for the following positions:

  • 1 patient member on the Canadian Drug Expert Committee (CDEC)
  • 1 expert member on the pan-Canadian Oncology Drug Review (pCODR) Expert Review Committee (pERC)
  • 1 health technology assessment specialist member on the Health Technology Expert Review Panel (HTERP)
  • 2 members on the Patient and Community Advisory Committee (PCAC).

In our patient member roles, we are seeking individuals who can represent the patient interest, have experience as a patient or caregiver, and show a demonstrated interest in issues related to health care at the community, regional, or national level.

In our expert roles, we are seeking individuals with professional degree in areas that may include medicine, pharmacy, pharmacology, health economics, or epidemiology, among others, and who have an understanding of the use and implementation of drugs or medical devices and clinical interventions in Canada.

Why Join a Committee?

Expert and advisory committees play an important role in helping Canada’s Drug Agency power evidence-informed drug and health technology decisions and improve health outcomes for people in Canada.

Individuals in these roles will have the opportunity to provide expert insight and collaborate with others across a range of disciplines and with a variety of lived experience. They will also help shape advice, guidance, and recommendations that inform decisions across pan-Canadian health systems.
