Nomination Period Opens for Chair of the Board of Directors

Canada’s Drug Agency has officially opened its call for nominations for the position of Chair of its Board of Directors. 
This is a unique opportunity to help shape how evidence is used to power decisions about drugs and health technologies and improve the quality, value, and sustainability of our health systems.


The selected individual will play a critical role in the strategic direction and effective governance of the organization. With strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage change, the Chair will work closely with the President and CEO to navigate complex priorities while advancing evidence-based decision-making in health care. 


The Board of Directors of Canada’s Drug Agency is collectively accountable for the stewardship of the organization, setting its strategic direction and priorities, and upholding the organization’s vision and values.

 

Selection Criteria 

The selection criteria for the Board Chair include demonstrated governance experience as a respected Board member or Chair, as well as experience supporting senior management and ensuring reporting and decision-making structures at the Board are orderly, transparent, and well-considered. The individual will also be recognized as a trusted relationship builder and they bring executive-level experience in industry, academia, or government.
