Funding Opportunity for Rare Disease Registry Improvement

In March 2023, the Government of Canada announced the National Strategy for Drugs for Rare Diseases to help increase access to, and affordability of, effective treatments for these conditions. Part of the national strategy investment includes funding for CADTH-led initiatives to improve the collection and use of evidence to inform and support decision-making. One of these initiatives is to support efforts for improved evidence generation and value of real-world data from rare disease registries.

As part of these efforts, CADTH is launching a new funding opportunity for rare disease registry owners in Canada. This opportunity will be issued via a Request for Proposals (RFP) and invite rare disease registry holders to make submissions to receive funding to support quality improvement initiatives for their registries.
