CADTH Strategy 2022-2025: Anticipate, Innovate, and Transform

We’re pleased to share Ahead of the Curve: Shaping Future-Ready Heath Systems, CADTH’s new 3-year strategic plan. 

Our new strategic plan situates CADTH at the heart of a new, ever-changing health care context, while building on the trusted foundation we have built over the past 30 years.

The strategy was developed from a deep-seated belief in the importance of using evidence to improve how and where care is delivered. It was also shaped by CADTH’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as the urgent nature of the pandemic led to greater collaboration, more nuanced discussions with decision-makers, and more agile ways of delivering evidence and recommendations on drugs and other health technologies. These new ways of working and collaborating will represent our standard moving forward.

Over the next 3 years, CADTH will bring enhanced foresight and focus to health leaders, health systems, and the patients and populations they serve across Canada. At its essence, this new strategy will help CADTH put our purpose into action: “Powering evidence-informed drug and health technology decisions for sustainable, world-class health care for all.”

Anchored by 3 strategic pillars — Anticipate, Innovate, and Transform — CADTH will help enable future-ready health care, unleash the value of technology across its lifespan, and catalyze health system change. We will also advance the leadership role we play in evidence-informed health care and as the hub of health technology management in Canada.

Of course, we can’t do this work alone. We will prioritize our partnerships with health system partners, researchers, practitioners, patient groups, innovators, and decision-makers. And we will continue to engage experts from across Canada and around the world as we work together to identify solutions to some of Canada’s most pressing health technology challenges.
